Hey Supermax, Just wanted to drop a quick note to say that I just bought another 37" drum sander. Three years ago I had a 37" x 2 sander and it was quite impressive. I pushed many mahogany counter tops through it and while it wasn't lightning fast it did great and produced an amazing finish. Then after moving shops I purchased a 36" Timesaver and wow that was fast. BUT....... It was a power hog and in a one man shop it took more room than it was worth. Also for cabinet doors and face frames, it was over kill. And so..... I went back to a movable 37" single drum and again I was SuperMax impressed with ease and quality of finish first and machine second. Not only does it take much less room, but it produces the same finish as its industrial equivalent. Unless your pushing doors galore or counter tops all day long, the Supermax will not only make you money, but make money on the move. A believer again, am I. Thanks for the USA made product.

I just wanted to thank you again for taking your time to come and visit us in Nashville. You made the operation of your machines easy to understand, and very user friendly. And I especially appreciate you taking time to cover the maintenance and adjustment items, AND answer all our questions, in detail. You know, the SuperMax Sanders are a tremendous value, but when the SANDING WIZARD himself comes to town for on the job training, it makes for an unbeatable combination. Again, I sincerely appreciate you sharing your time and expertise with us. And of course, I'm looking forward to a long relationship with SuperMax.

Dear Mr. Schroeder,
It was so REFRESHING to hear you reply "That's an easy fix-I'll just put the knob in an envelope and put it in the mail."
My faith has been restored in the Old American Way!" Thank you!

"You can count me in as a big fan of Supermax!"
You can count me in as a big fan of Supermax after getting my new 25" dual drum machine. It was nearly ready out of the box and required only minor set up and tweaking. The ease and speed of making adjustments to the machine is fantastic. I've seen folks with competitor drum sanders spend a day or more adjusting drum height and tracking. With the Supermax, those adjjustments can be made in minutes. Great design and great machine! Overall, it is EVERYTHING I would expect from a world class, made in the USA machine. Something getting more and more difficult to find these days. Brian Ruddy - Baraga, MI
"The best investment I've ever made in my shop!" Del Cover - Del Cover Woodworking, San Diego, CA
When I bought my sander about 10 years ago, it totally revamped how I worked in the shop. It gave me a 20% increase in productivity from what I had been doing before and was by far, the best investment that I've ever made in my shop. Recently I had to do some maintenance on the sander and it was very satisfying to be able to call up Supermax Tools, immediately reach a live and knowledgeable sales person who was able to identify the problem and send me what I needed to repair the machine.

The SuperBrush machine is doing great...the machine purchase paid for itself through time and labor savings
Bill Snell from Black Cat Artworks - Greenville S.C.
The SuperBrush machine is doing great. We've been working it hard and haven't had any problems. The finish quality is what we hoped for, our production rates have improved tremendously and now anyone with a bit of spare time can finish the artwork.
Thank you for convincing me to purchase this great investment for my shop!
Joe Hoffman - One impressed customer from Northville, MI
My ShopPro 25 arrived on Tuesday in good condition and I have it all set up in the shop. After running a few boards through, I can see why you are so proud of your product. I am impressed with the American made quality, the sturdiness, and of course the finishing! My first big job will be running a few hundred board feet of rift cut white oak through the ShopPro 25. I can tell you right now, I know the project will turn out great and I won't dread sanding like I used to. Thank you for convincing me to purchase this great investment for my shop!
At a recent trade show in Grand Rapids, MI, a shop owner stated, "What I can do in 4 hrs with the SuperBrush used to take 2 guys each 40 hrs to sand by hand."
The SuperMax Tools SuperBrush 36" literally saves me $1500/ month in materials alone!
Tim Craft - Heritage Shutters, Inc. Phoenix, AZ www.heritageshutters.com
"The SuperMax Tools SuperBrush 36" literally saves me $1500/month in materials alone. I used to spend $750/ month on abrasive products and $750/month on sandblasting. Now I don't have all that mess to deal with and our pieces come out perfectly smooth. Thank God for the SuperMax Superbrush!"
(note from Tim: The above monetary amount doesn't include the other miscellaneous expenses or labor savings)

The more I use this machine, the more I wonder how I lived without it! Amazing!
K. Casper - Northville, MI
"The more I use this machine (25x2 SuperMax drum sander), the more I wonder how lived without it. I joined a couple of cedar panels the other day and ran it through the sander to thickness. I did in a couple of minutes what would take me an hour or more before with hand tools. Amazing! Thanks again for all your great help."

Recently you investigated and found two brass bushings for my 37/2 SuperMax sander. You then mailed them to me at no charge. Better yet, you spent your time which I'm sure is at a premium. I just wanted to thank you for your service and expertise. It is comforting to know I have a friend in the "business."
My SuperMax drum sander is one of the best shop investments I've ever made
Bruce Kieffer-Kieffer Custom Furniture, Inc.
My SuperMax drum sander is the most used tool in my shop. It's speed and quality are amazing. It is rock solid, precise, efficient and effective. I've never found anyone who claims to enjoy sanding until they've used a SuperMax sander. I can't imagine being a woodworker without it!
Mark Hensly of Mark's Tool School
"The SuperBrush sander eliminated one employee and paid for itself in 3 months...and it doesn't whine!
The Sander is Magnificent!
H. Horchover-CA (USA)
Bill, I picked up my sander at the Ontario, CA wood show today. Everything was just as you promised including Stuart. He was wonderfully helpful. He made some rather incredible boasts about the sander. However, after I sanded off just pencil marks and looked at what my caliper told me about dimension across stock, I believe him. The ShopPro 25 is the finest power tool in my shop and I am fortunate to have some very fine tools. I had forgotten what an American made tool was like. Bill, the sander is magnificent. Please consider me a SuperMax ambassador. If you ever need a testimonial I'm your man. In addition, the character of the SuperMax folks with whom it has been my pleasure to deal is consistent with the quality of the tool. Thank you.

Fantastic Machine
D. Stuart Moore (NJ, USA)
I have had this machine now going on six years. I like it so much I bought a second one. I use them extensively and have nothing but high praise for them. I find as long as you use the correct grits and do not try to do everything in one pass (overload) the machine is fast and very accurate. Sanding wraps last a very long time, making the machine very economical to use. It certainly saves hours of time and lots of elbow grease.
The only burning problems I have ever had were my fault and not the machines. I was too impatient and took too much of an aggressive cut causing the machine to burn the wood. This is a condition one will find with any machine regardless of the power.
My personal advice to anybody needing a production sander for good flat surfaces is to go with this machine. Once you learn how to use it, it will be your best friend.
GOTTA HAVE IT!
D. LUVZWOOD (USA) - on the SuperMax Drum Sander
We owned a custom woodworking shop and could not have produced the quality products we did without the SuperMax drumsander. We were able to control the output exactly to where we needed it. The belt change was easy, and there was great power and control.
Happiness
T. Kelly (USA) - On the 50x2 SuperMax sander
We've enjoyed the convenience of being able to sand wide face frames, and panels easily. The electronic controls make use relatively mindless. The Sandsmart control, which monitors belt speed relative to depth of cut, is helpful in sustaining belt life. The electric table movement is a necessity, as the table is heavy, and somewhat difficult to move by hand. The down side of this machine is that the sandpaper can be easily ruined by getting one burn mark, etc.. Then it's time for a new wrap, or two, at forty dollars each load. At a fraction of the cost of a wide belt sander, it's been a good alternative for our small shop.
Overall a very good tool
E. Hubard (Fl. USA)- On the Shop Pro 25
I purchased my Performax ShopPro 25 after doing a lot of research. I even kept the box it came, in just in case I had to send it back. It performed well from the beginning. The operation is smooth and with great results. You do need a good dust collector. Changing the sand paper is quite easy and fast. With the optional set of casters, moving this heavy machine around is no problem. You need to be careful not to try to remove a lot of material at one time, otherwise, it will scorch the wood, and you can ruin an expensive piece of sand paper. I guess this is obviously the case with all drum sanders. The only reason I gave this otherwise wonderful machine four stars, is that the height control handle does not operate as well as I expected, you have to use two hands if you are rotating it full turns. I do believe that Performax makes some of the best drum sanders in the market. I highly recommend this product.
Nothing short of amazing
A. Smith (USA) - on a SuperMax Drum Sander
Although I do this as a hobby, I used to work in a cabinet shop where we had an industrial, wide belt sander - kind of the rich man's version of this tool. I became a believer in the concept after seeing it handle cabinet doors. For that very purpose I purchased one of these a short time ago. The amount of time this saved sanding the 30+ doors I did on my first job was nothing short of amazing. Not to mention the quality was significantly better than sanding by hand. It did require some hand sanding on the rails that were sanded cross-grain - but that could have possibly been eliminated with a more gradual change in sanding grits.
Setting the machine up was pretty straight forward and the manual was well written.
