Metal finishing can be accomplished with the SuperBrush sanders or SuperMax wide belt sanders. The application(s) and material(s) determine which machine or machines are best suited to your production facility.
Free Sample testing is offered and encouraged. This allows the best matching of machine and abrasive or brush grit and configuration to the intended task and desired results. There is a wide range of brush heads, grits and configurations available. Custom brushes are also available.
Metal finishing applications include, but are not limited to:
| SuperBrush | Wide Belt | |
| Straight lining | x | x |
| Graining and decorative finishing | x | |
| De-burring | x | x |
| De-slagging or dross removal | x | x |
| Oxidation removal | x | x |
| Polishing and buffing | x | |
| Cleaning and de-scaling | x | x |
| Scuff sanding and primer sanding | x |
As a rule of thumb, brush sanding generates less heat, creates a “softer finish” and offers much longer abrasive or brush life as compared to wide belt sanding. While wide belt sanding offers more aggressive stock or contamination removal.
The SuperBrush 36 x 2 offers a full range of brushing from all angles in a single pass with counter rotating and variable speed brush heads. The conveyor feed rate is also double the speed of single head brush sanders, making this model up to 4x faster than single head models.
The SuperBrush 52 x 2 offers nylon, flatter and polishing (not wire) for even faster sanding.
