About Us
The name SuperMax Tools may be new to you, but the company has been making drum and brush sanders for over 20 years. Formerly made under the Performax brand name, SuperMax Tools offers the only US manufactured drum and brush sanders with patented features setting it apart in a tool category crowded with import machines.
Located in St. Paul, Minnesota, SuperMax Tools began in June of 2005 after purchasing the rights to manufacture the closed-end sanders (larger than 24”) from the WMH Tool Group. Two former Performax employees, Warren Weber and Bill Schroeder, started SuperMax Tools believing there were better ways to make sanding machines. Read more about our history here.
